In this course, you will:
Who this course is for
This course is built for accounting and finance professionals who already understand the fundamentals — debits and credits, accrual accounting, the theory behind a trial balance or a provision. It does not re-teach concepts you already know. Instead, it focuses entirely on workflow, judgment, and speed: the actual work of closing a set of books, done faster and more reliably with Claude as a working partner rather than a replacement for professional judgment.
If you're an accountant, a controller, a finance professional managing your own close, or someone supporting clients through month-end or year-end, this course is built around how that work actually happens.
How the course works
Every session runs on one continuous case company: a fictional B2B office equipment distributor going through its March year-end close. You'll work through the same dataset from Day 1 to Day 10, exactly like a real engagement — nothing resets between sessions, and each module builds on the last.
The dataset is deliberately messy. It includes over twenty seeded issues spread across the transaction records, bank statement, and GST filings — misclassifications, omitted GST, a duplicate invoice, a missed TDS deduction, mismatches against the GST portal, unrecorded bank items, and standard year-end adjustments. Catching and correcting these is the actual skill this course builds. Clean, error-free data doesn't teach you anything a real close won't already have told you.
Each of the ten sessions runs about one hour and follows the same structure: a clear objective, the exact data to use, a step-by-step task, ready-to-use Claude prompts for that stage of the work, and a concrete deliverable you produce and review yourself. The course covers:
Working with Claude
Every session teaches two things at once: the accounting task itself, and how to work with Claude effectively while doing it. You'll set up a dedicated Claude Project loaded with company context so you're not re-explaining the business in every conversation. You'll use a growing library of prompt patterns for journal entries, reconciliation matching, variance analysis, and closing entries. And throughout, you'll practice the habit this entire course is built around: treat every Claude draft as a first pass to be reviewed, not a finished answer to be accepted — because that's the actual skill a working professional needs when using AI for real financial work.
